sunday brunch
I had sunday brunch today at the Benson hotel in Portland, Oregon. While we were having brunch, the police were securing the hotel because Vice President Dick Cheney is visiting or staying at the hotel. The police blocked some of the roads surronding the hotel. I was full most of the day because I ate so much food like eggs benedict, sushi, and yummy desserts. I past most of my time by eating out and watching movies. This morning, I saw Motorcycle Diaries, it was a great international film. I also watched Shattered Glass on cable, a true reporter story about the New Republic magazine.
I finally made it to the gym this morning. I was on the treadmill for about 30 minutes. It has been like over a month since the last time I went to the gym. I so need a buddy to encourage me to go to the gym. I went with my cousin, and he practically had to drag me to the gym.
Afterwards, we went shopping around, and I was so temped to buy puma shoes at Nordstrom but they did not have my size, but the shoe looked so cute and comfortable. I went to a shoe store called Imelda in the Hathorne area of Portland, the store is named after Imelda Marcos, and I saw Tsubo shoes that I liked, and they also did not have my size. I keep forgetting that Oregon does not have sales tax for buying stuff.
