memorial service

Lolo Nardo was honored yesterday at the memorial service by two US army folks by presenting the flag to Lola Minang. We gathered in a half circle then the soldiers gave her the triangle shape flag. It was a sad time, especially during the eulogy.

I went to the Alameda County Fair at Pleasanton. I saw some big cows, sheep, pigs, newly recent born twin calves.

For the past couple of days, I have been going to rosary for Lolo Nardo. It has to be for 9 days.

Lolo Nardo

Lolo Nardo passed on today around 8:30pm calm and peaceful. He is my uncle through my first cousin's on their father's side. I learned today that he drove me in Philippines when I was three years old from his house to my auntie Carrie's house. My dad told me that he had a good job as a chauffeur. I will remember playing mah jong, eating out, reading newspapers and a huge smile on his face.

Diana's wedding

I went to my co-worker's wedding reception in chinatown San Francisco at Far East Cafe. I loved the food and dancing music. I always like the picture slideshow at weddings.

little sheep

Yesterday I had lunch at Tandori Oven and I had the saag paneer which I didn't like because it had no flavor and it seemed watery which I'm use to eating a thicker sauce. The chicken tikka masala tasted better. Today, I'm going to Little Sheep in San Mateo for Mongolian hot pot.

I hiked the PG&E trail at Rancho San Antonio in the Los Altos area. It took us 3 hours and 20 minutes to hike the 7.5 mile trail. It took us 2 hours to hike to the midpoint. The view of the bay is amazing. We went to Fu Lam Mum for late night snack of congee and beef chow fun, on the 2nd floor we heard music from the wedding reception.
