airshow at Salinas

I went to the airshow at Salinas Municipal Airport (KSNS). I wanted to see the thunderbirds but they could not fly because the clouds were below 2,000 feet. After the airshow, we went to Monterey and ate at Bubba Gump. Nice view, although it was cloudy.

I can now check out the 4 seater airplane C172 but first I need to check out the airplane once before I bring passengers.

eating and flying

This week, I only went out to lunch twice to eat at Tomatina and Tofu House. I normally just eat at my desk during lunch time. I'll be flying today, tomorrow, and Sunday. I'm try to get approval from my instructor that I can check out the 4 seater. Hopefully by the end of next month, I can check out the 4 seater.

scrabble

Lately, I have been playing scrabble with my couins, Manang Mary and Lindsay. Manang Mary got us hooked. I like check my facebook every night to see if it is my turn to play scrabble. So additcting, I even played with my mom using the board game a few times.

practiced flying 4 seater

Last night, I practiced flying C172N which is a four seater airplane. I did stalls, simulated emergency, and steep turn. We took off during the day and landed at night. Next weekend, I will practice with the C172N short field takeoff, short field landing, soft field takeoff, and soft field landing.

thai orchid

I had dinner at Thai Orchid on north 1st st. in San Jose for Haz's birthday. Haz just had her second kid Hannah last month. I liked the green curry chicken.

great mall

Yesterday, I went to the Great Mall to eat dim sum at May Flower Lounge and it was busy, we waited for half an hour even though we arrived around 12:45pm. The mall was packed with people, I had to weave around people to walk to the next store.

first passenger

My cousin Manang Mary was my first passenger today. We flew out of Reidhill View and then over Anderson Lake and Coyote Lake. After flying, we went to the Janet Jackson concert. She is a great performer. I liked Janet's concert more than Madonna's.

instrument rating

I want to go for my instrument rating but I need to first fly at least 50 hours of long distance flying (cross country) .

private pilot license

I passed my checkride for private pilot license for airplane single engine land.
