solo flight to Oakdale

I flew by myself from reid-hillview in San Jose to Oakdale which is east of Stockton which totals to 140 nautical miles. I got lost on the way going to Oakdale because it was so hazy and the visibility was awful even though the forecast said it was sky clear. So I spent nearly half an hour looking for the runway, good thing the navigation instruments work, and I was able to use it to find my location on the chart. I was very south because I kept thinking that the runway will be on the right side so I kept going right and passed the runway on my left. I'm glad that I finished my 5th solo flight. I need to fly more to get more confidence and experience.

I had really good home made dumplings at Na-Ha on Moorepark Ave. in San Jose. I got the pork and shrimp dumpling. It is close to a Ramen place, don't go there, the quality of food went down since the owner changed.

I'm back from Denver

I'm back from working in Denver for a week. I went to 16th Street to buy souvenirs, I was expecting to see more souvenir shops but I only saw like 4 shops. I saw a lot of restaurant chains and stores. I liked the Red Rocks Amphitheatre view. You can see downtown Denver and the south area of Denver.

Denver

I'll be going to Denver next week for work. I have not been there yet. The sites I want to see like the Cool Mint closes by the time I leave work.
